G&A Partners Listed as Houston's "Largest Minority-Owned Business"
HOUSTON – July 15, 2005 – G&A Partners, a fully-integrated Houston-based Human Resource (HR) and administrative services company, announced today that it was listed as Houston's "Largest Minority-Owned Business" by the Houston Business Journal. With 4,600 employees¹ and revenues of $133 million in 2004, G&A Partners tops Houston's list of minority-owned firms for the second consecutive year.
G&A Partners, which takes on integral HR and administrative functions for growing businesses and serves as co-employer for its clients' employees, was founded in 1995 by Antonio ("Tony") R. Grijalva and John W. Allen.
Through the late 1990's, the company experienced respectable growth, but in 2001, G&A Partners took a huge risk by eliminating its then most profitable business line, temporary employee placement services. It was a calculated risk that paid off. G&A Partners' revenues grew from $18 million in 2000 to $27 million in 2001, and since spinning off their temporary placement agency, G&A Partners has experienced 512 percent growth.
"At times I find it ironic that G&A Partners has become Houston's Largest Minority-Owned Business when what we strive to do is help our clients grow their companies, many also minority-owned, by allowing them to focus on their core business rather than HR and administrative functions," said Tony Grijalva, Chairman and CEO of G&A.
