John W. Allen

As president and chief operating officer of G&A, John overseas the daily operations of the company and is heavily involved in the strategic outlook and growth of G&A. John brings extensive management consulting and financial expertise to the G&A team. Before organizing his own firm, John was a Consulting Partner with Grant Thornton where he oversaw their work on a number of large government contracts.

Since founding G&A in 1995, John and Tony Grijalva have grown G&A into one of the preeminent PEOs in the state of Texas. In addition to managing the day to day operations, John has been responsible for various acquisitions by G&A, support services for organizations valued up to $5 billion, and in helping small and medium-sized companies address their administrative, HR and accounting needs. John has taken a particular interest in assisting minority-and women-owned businesses throughout his career, and has been involved in many advocacy and outreach efforts for these traditionally underrepresented groups.

John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. John graduated from Brigham Young University in 1980 with a Masters Degree in Accountancy. He and his wife Denise have four children and two grandchildren.
