HOUSTON – February 20, 2009 – G&A Partners, a fully-integrated Texas-based Human Resource (HR) and PEO services provider, recently published their second annual Texas Business report. The survey recounts Texas business leaders’ thoughts about unexpected challenges in 2008 and predictions and plans for the coming year.
The G&A report reflects Texas business owners’ apprehension about the economy and the impact current market conditions could have on their business in 2009. More than half of Texas business owners surveyed said that 2008 was more difficult than anticipated and slightly less than half stated their business was not prepared for the economic turndown.
“G&A is a Texas business so we understand and can empathize with many of the concerns other Texas business owners have, which is also why the annual market research report is so important,” said John Allen, President and COO of G&A Partners. “Texans never shy away from a challenge and you can bet that somehow Texas business owners will find a way to push through, despite the worst economic conditions.”
The report provides an in-depth analysis of the survey results, including areas of extreme concern and some surprising conclusions about business owners’ access to credit. The report also focuses on ways to not only survive the current economic climate, but to take advantage of opportunities that enable businesses to gain a competitive advantage at a time when most are struggling to survive.
