The award was presented during the Latino Learning Center’s annual Humanitarian Awards luncheon on June 27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
“I am deeply honored to receive this award, especially when it involves Mrs. Bush, a philanthropic woman who dedicated the last years of her life to foster adult education,” said Grijalva when accepting the award.
