G&A Partners ranked ninth out of the small to midsize companies honored for their emphasis on employee health care and wellness offerings at the Houston Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers awards breakfast at the Marriott Marquis on May 23, 2019.
To determine the ranking, a representative from each company was surveyed by a third-party surveying company, Healthiest Employer LLC, an Indiana limited liability company that administered a 75-question survey. The answers were scored in six categories: culture and leadership commitment; foundational components; strategic planning; communications and marketing; programming and interventions; and reporting and analytics.
“Our company has acted on employee feedback to position the program in a way that will encourage employees to improve their health, happiness and overall quality of life,” said G&A Partners’ Wellness Specialist, Olivia Curtis, who oversees the company’s EVOLVE wellness program.
The mission of the G&A Partners Evolve Wellness Program is to empower employees to achieve greater happiness and peace while reaching their full potential through education and support in all aspects of wellness. Through wellness programs, challenges, services, and policy development, the company aims to improve employee health and wellbeing, enhance employee morale and job satisfaction, increase productivity, optimize performance in all areas of life, and encourage employees to be a positive influence.
Some of the Evolve program’s newest features include two Evolve rooms that provide employees with a place to take a mental break during the day, monthly sand volleyball games that encourage physical activity and teamwork outside of the office, and monthly wellness challenges that address multiple dimensions of wellness.
