Houston – October 23, 2020 – G&A Partners, a leading national professional employer organization (PEO) and HR outsourcing provider, has been ranked as one of the best places to work in the city of Houston for the third year in a row.
G&A Partners, which has just over 200 employees working in its Houston-based corporate headquarters, was named the city’s No. 13 “Best Place to Work” (large category) by the Houston Business Journal.
The HBJ award is determined based entirely on feedback from employees submitted via anonymous surveys.
“Our Houston team had to relocate to their homes in mid-March and set up remote operations as we all did our part to self-isolate in the wake of the pandemic. Our office, which is usually buzzing with about 200 employees, now has only 20 using it regularly—something we don’t intend to change until 2021,” said Michelle Mikesell, Vice President of Corporate HR for G&A Partners. “Despite the changes and challenges this year has brought, our team (in Houston and our other offices across the country) has continued to thrive and support our clients. We’ve all had to adapt, but it’s a testament to our culture and a tremendous source of pride that we’ve done so successfully.”
Despite the bulk of G&A’s workforce relocating to home offices, Mikesell said internal events and team-building activities have not stopped at G&A.
“Our Partner Perks employee committee has found virtual ways to boost morale in all of our office locations,” she said. “Our online internal community, The Bridge, was restructured so that employees in different departments and offices can stay connected and engaged with each other as we continue to foster the friendly culture we’ve built over the years. And we have held more Town Halls to ensure our team stays well informed. These efforts, combined with an amazing team of employees, makes G&A one of the best places to work in Houston and across the nation.”
