W-2 FAQs

If you can't find the information you're looking for here, please contact AccessHR, and we will be happy to assist you.

The IRS requires employers to use Forms W-2 to report wage and salary information for their employees, as well as the amount of federal, state, and other taxes withheld from each employee’s paycheck. Employees then use this form to prepare their annual tax return.

2022 Forms W-2 will be mailed, as required by law, by Jan. 31, 2023, to the address G&A Partners has on file for you as of Dec. 31, 2022.

The address on your W-2 cannot be corrected once it has been generated with the address on file as of Dec. 31, 2022.

If you register to receive your W-2 electronically before Dec. 31, 2022, you will NOT receive a mailed copy. Instead, it will be available for download by the end of the day on Jan. 31, 2023, in the same online system you use to view your paystubs.

Based on which G&A system you log into, select the appropriate link below to download instructions on how to retrieve your electronic W-2.

Requests received after Dec. 31, 2022, for updates to the SSN on Forms W-2 will need to be processed as corrections.

To update your SSN, please send an email to accesshr@gnapartners.com with the subject line: “Social Security Number Change.” Be sure to include the following in your email:

  • Full name
  • Employer name
  • Copy of Social Security card

Every company you worked for in 2022 is legally required to send you a W-2. If you were employed by more than one employer in 2022, you will receive a W-2 from each employer. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule:

  • If you were employed by two “sister” or related companies that are both clients of G&A Partners, your earnings for both companies will be combined on one W-2.
  • If your company was a client of an HR company/PEO acquired by G&A Partners in 2022, you may receive two Forms W-2 on behalf of your employer: one from G&A Partners and one from your employer’s previous HR/PEO provider.

If you are an independent contractor and are not an employee of the company for which you currently work, you will receive a Form 1099, not a Form W-2. Forms 1099 will be mailed by Jan. 31, 2023. G&A Partners does not report information for contract workers to any agency. Instead, G&A Partners will provide the Form 1099 data directly to the client company by Jan. 31, 2023, for the client company to report to the appropriate agencies. (Unlike Forms W-2, Forms 1099 are not available online.) Please contact your company directly with any questions about your 1099.

Sometimes the Form W-2 you receive from G&A may include the name of one of our subsidiaries (e.g., Core Innovative Solutions, Core Benefit Solutions, G&A Outsourcing, etc.). There is no need for alarm. If you feel there is an error, please contact our team of on-demand experts, AccessHR, at 1-866-497-4222.
