When the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce began experiencing rapid growth, its leadership team was thrilled – more members meant that it could expand its programs and further its mission of being a premier advocate, access point and resource for area businesses.
But the chamber was not immune to the challenges that successful organizations experience. With new member businesses and professionals joining every day, the chamber’s operations staff, in particular its controller, was being stretched thin trying to manage both the organization’s vital financial functions and its human resources functions. With the future and the needs of its growing membership base in mind, the chamber knew it was time to make a change.
