HOUSTON—February 11, 2009–G&A Partners, a fully-integrated Texas-based Human Resource (HR) and PEO services provider, announced today that the company recently contributed $10,000 to the Houston Rockets’ Clutch City Foundation to provide 650 Houston-area children an opportunity to attend a Rockets game this month.
G&A’s donation to the Clutch City Foundation was allocated to an initiative called “Rockets for Youth” ticket program. Through generous contributions from companies like G&A, underprivileged children sponsored through six different charities, including Sunshine Kids, Casa de Esperanza and Special Olympics, are able to attend a Rockets’ game free of charge.
“I am extremely excited about G&A Partners’ affiliation with the Houston Rockets and the Clutch City Foundation,” said Anthony Grijalva Jr., vice president of marketing at G&A Partners. “Over the years, G&A has been committed to supporting the community with a special focus on children’s initiatives.”
The Clutch City Foundation was founded in 1993 and the “Rockets for Youth” Ticket Program was established during the 2007-2008 basketball season. Through this grassroots program, Rockets players and corporations in the community, purchase tickets for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a professional basketball game. Last season alone, more than 4,000 underprivileged young people were able to attend a Rockets home game.
