Webinar Recap: Legal Pitfalls Of The Termination Process

Don’t fall victim to these common pitfalls.

If you ask any manager what their least favorite part of their job is, odds are the top answer you’ll hear is “having to fire/terminate an employee.” Besides being one of the most uncomfortable and unpleasant aspects of being a manager, terminating an employee can also be fraught with legal complications pitfalls that are all too easy to fall victim to.

Highlights of this webinar include:

  • An overview of the legal background and impact of this issue;
  • Discussion of termination best practices, including where these conversations should take place, who should be involved and what documentation is required; and
  • The rights and responsibilities employers have when it comes to the termination process.

This webinar was recorded on June 23, 2016, and presented by Denise Macik, PHR, SHRM-CP, a senior human resources advisor and client advocate for G&A Partners. Please be aware that per HRCI guidelines, only webinars recorded during the current calendar year are eligible for recertification credit for on-demand viewers.
