How to prepare for the consultation

To make the most of your call with us, we’ve gathered some tips on what to expect. If you didn’t schedule a meeting, one of our business advisors will contact you in less than an hour (or within one business day for inquiries received outside normal business hours). We’ll come prepared to discuss your needs and answer questions you might have about how G&A can address your challenges and help you achieve your goals. We recommend that you come prepared to discuss your company’s HR goals and challenges.

Identify Pain Points

Before your call, consider what you would like to improve that would:

  • Make your employees happier and more productive?

  • Help your business reach the next level?

  • Enhance your benefits offerings?

  • Optimize your HR processes, such as payroll?

  • Enable your existing HR technology to better support your processes.

Identify company goals

At G&A, we love to solve problems. At the same time, we want to provide proactive solutions that help your business grow and succeed. Let us know your goals—what you want to achieve—and we’ll come prepared to talk through the solutions we provide that can help you get there.

FAQs

You're in need of HR support, but how do you know where to start? Whether it's your first experience with a PEO or you're considering several options, we hope the answers below will help.

At G&A, we strive to deliver HR services tailored to your specific needs. Certain solutions, such as payroll administration, are required as part of engaging G&A for PEO services. Additionally, PEOs may offer better pricing per service if multiple services are grouped together at the outset of the engagement rather than adding services over the life of your contract.

When it comes to choosing specific services, not all professional employer organizations will offer you flexibility. For example, you may be required to switch to the PEO’s workers’ compensation. At G&A, we offer carve-outs on insurance and will build a customized, flexible plan to meet your needs.

The process of choosing and engaging a PEO typically involves four steps:

  • Choosing which PEO services your company needs
  • Gathering detailed information about your business and goals
  • Getting a quote from the PEO
  • Signing a Client Service Agreement (CSA) and beginning onboarding

Our guide, The PEO Purchasing Guide, gives you a detailed look into the process and will help prepare you for what’s ahead. The final stage, onboarding, typically lasts 4-6 weeks, though this will vary based on the specific needs of your business.

The cost of a PEO will vary depending on the size of your business, your location, services needed, and your industry. However, most PEOs typically charge for their services in one of two ways:

  • As a percentage of total payroll
  • As a flat per-employee-per-year (PEPY) fee
