HOUSTON, July. 24, 2020 – G&A Partners, a leading national professional employer organization (PEO) and human resources outsourcing (HRO) provider, was named No. 5 on the Houston Chronicle’s “Chron 100” list of top private companies in the Houston area. The list ranked the top private companies in the city and surrounding areas based on their total revenue in 2019.
G&A Partners reported $2.9 billion in revenue last year, the highest in the 25-year-old company’s history. The revenue boost was due in large part to key acquisitions made in 2019 that brought the total number of worksite employees to 54,000 by year end for the PEO.
John Allen, President and COO of G&A Partners, told the Houston Chronicle that G&A uses a three-pronged approach to acquisitions, which has served the company well in recent years as it has more than doubled in size in a three-year time frame.
This “three-legged stool approach,” as Allen calls it, allows G&A to make acquisitions:
- In markets where it already has a presence
- In neighboring markets near to where it already has a presence
- In new markets where it sees potential for growth
“2019 was our best [year] ever, from a top-line perspective,” Allen told the Chronicle. “And from the bottom line it was pretty good, too.”
While 2020 has brought its own unique challenges to the PEO, G&A was still able to complete two more acquisitions in a time when most companies have halted all such activity.
