One of our clients, a global leader in customer care, human resources and billing services, was awarded a five-year contract to provide comprehensive human resources and payroll services to the Texas Health and Human Services Commissions’ (HHSC) 46,000 employees.
Our client’s charge was to provide day-to-day HR and payroll services to the HHSC by delivering services to their workforce via a proven service delivery model, resources and technology. However, the firm needed to find the right partner to assist in delivering quality HRO services and help it achieve efficiencies in managing this sizable contract while maximizing its HUB contracting goals. The firm found the strategic partner it was looking for in G&A Partners.
As part of a five-year agreement, G&A Partners now provides day-to-day HRO services and handles all workers’ compensation and unemployment claims administration for 46,000 state employees at a service center just outside Austin, Texas.
Because G&A was able to step up to meet our client’s outsourcing needs, our client was able to focus its expertise on other aspects of this Texas-sized account. Ultimately our client decided to have G&A serve as the PEO for their own employees housed at the service center. Not only is G&A Partners providing HRO transactional services, but now it is also serving as the PEO, or “co-employer” for our client’s employees handling payroll administration, employee benefits, HR support and risk management for them.
Our client has been extremely pleased with this “outside-the-box” arrangement between our firms. It allows them to exceed their contractual HUB contracting requirement without adversely impacting the economics of the project while strategically aligning itself with a Texas-based firm with significant experience handling workers’ compensation and unemployment claims administration.
